Junior Glow Program
This program is dedicated to younger high school students typically grades 9-10 and covers introductory topics on women’s physical, mental, and emotional health. We aim to build a foundation of knowledge at a pivotal point in the participants’ lives.
You Glow
A bonding experience with an emphasis on creating healthy, positive communities among the students. In this workshop, we discuss various expectations and pressures society places on women, common struggles seen in women's relationships with one another and how important caring for oneself is to be able to provide support to others. This workshop will help the students become comfortable with the facilitators & their peers.
Glow with the Flow
Talking about your period is considered an awkward topic, but it heavily impacts our lives. This workshop focuses on various menstrual products, tracking monthly cycles and providing space for students to ask questions about their own experiences. It is aimed to provide the students with an in-depth explanation and discussion on the menstrual cycle, ensuring the students understand what's going on monthly with their bodies and how to navigate all this confidently.
Protect your Glow
The workshop is dedicated to building healthy relationships and setting boundaries. Whether it is family, friends, or romantic connections, students explore ways to determine their own priorities and identify red flags. Protect your Glow is a very interactive workshop where students explore various relationships and identify healthy and unhealthy characteristics. Students will learn the importance of self-care within relationships, learn about the 5 love languages and how to develop boundaries by analyzing their personal needs, and values.
Glowing Confidence
The final workshop of this series covers body image and social media. Since many students spend most of their time online, it is imperative to discuss the problems that could arise from social media use and ways to utilize platforms in a healthy way. This workshop dives into social media and the role it plays in individuals' personal body image views. We discuss ways to protect ourselves from social media negativity and educate about the potential consequences of having a poor body image, including eating disorders.
